Penta Skin: naming five champions from their skins
Penta Skin is PentaGuess's daily fixture devoted to League of Legends skins. Every day, five champions have to be identified — not from their base appearance, but from one of their skins, drawn at random. The artwork is blurred: only a horizontal band stays sharp, and it widens with every failed attempt until the picture is uncovered.
Why it is harder than a splash art quiz
A skin can redraw a champion from top to bottom: armour, palette, hair, weapon, sometimes the entire silhouette. Recognising Elementalist Lux or Star Guardian Ezreal takes a knowledge of the cosmetic catalogue as much as of the roster itself. The sharp band only helps if you know where to look: a pattern on a cape, the mount of a weapon, one detail of a face is often enough, well before the whole image is revealed.
Four right answers are enough
The streak rule is deliberately forgiving: finding four champions out of five keeps your streak alive and gives you another chance tomorrow. Below four, the game is lost and the streak resets to zero. The five champions change at midnight UTC and are the same for every player; once the grid is finished, the day's distribution of attempts shows where you stand against everyone else.
