Decode the Agent, the VALORANT splash art quiz

A game of Decode the Agent in progress on PentaGuess

Every day, the splash art of a VALORANT agent shows up scrambled: pixelated, full of holes, cut into shifted slices, with colours bleeding like a broken screen. Your job is to recognise the agent behind the corrupted signal. It is the same agent for every player that day.

You get 4 tries. After each miss the image rebuilds a little: the pixels get finer and the holes close up. The clean artwork only appears at the end. Type the agent's name; autocomplete helps with the spelling.

What to look at first

When the silhouette stays illegible, it is the palette that gives the agent away: each character has a strongly defined dominant colour, and that is what survives the corruption best. Next come the hair, the build, and above all whatever is held in hand — a blade, a pistol, a drone, an orb will cut the candidate list down immediately. The background is usually the last element to come back together, so there is no point counting on it for your first two guesses.

How do you recognise an agent on a scrambled image?

Look for the silhouette and the main colours before the details: a hairstyle, the colour of an outfit, a weapon or an accessory is often enough to recognise an agent, even in big pixels.

When does the agent to decode change?

The draw changes at 00:00 UTC. Your streak keeps going as long as you find the agent to decode every day, and Practice mode lets you replay as often as you like.
